Autumn just came out of my office window

As often happened in the last few years, summer is extending its warm benefits until November, until Rome and i guess the whole south of Italy.
As always occurring, there's a strange feeling about all this, too many months ahead until next hot and then rain, cold, grey...whatsoever.
Neverthless there's a sort of "wind of change" which still makes me wishing all this, warm sweaters, hot chocolates, (luckily and rarely)snow falling, the smell of "burning" chimneys, NO F. mosquitos, to feel home protected when outside is pouring and mostly those long and very relaxing Sundays at home.
Those Sundays when out of the window nothing tells you to get out and you have lot of time to spend on playing, reading, watching Movies...or simply taking your sacred time.
I spent some time in Caracas years ago, enough time to enjoy the wonderful endless warm through the whole year, enough time to think that could be the perfect weather, but still not complaining about what Europe, or better Italy, has to offer me.
Changing seasons, changing clothes, tastes, food, humour and all the colors of this world.
Cheers

"The Band's visit"

It's been a bit silent this blog lately, and I like to be a sort of back on track with one of the things I like the most: movies.
I wouldn't say just movies, but some particular movie, one of those which normally isn't a box-office Champion and neverthless, a very interesting one !!!
It was "Everything is illuminated" a year ago, it's "The Bands visit" today.
The Alexandria (Egypt) Ceremonial Police Orchestra arrives in Israel to play at the opening of an Arab Cultural Center and from that moment on, it's a sequel of unlucky events that takes the Band to bump into different culture, different people, different places.
As always it's not a technical critic which I'm going to do here, but a sort of slow-delivery emotion which flows back to me, that strange sensation when you leave the cinema and images or feelings keep on walking with you for a while.
A bit slow in some part, it' full of sense of humour everywhere else with a bitter/sweet conclusion : loneliness has not boards and can unite people of any kinds.
Enjoy it if you have chance :-)

Il Comico Costantini

There are Nights when you have time to waste, let's say on Vacation, let's say in a Foreign country.
Make you are a bit drunk, you do stupid stuff...VERY STUPID stuff.
Here you are directly from S.Sebastian Spain, our favourite Massimo Costantini's performance.
If you wanna see him in action, please check any restaurant, party or overcrowded place in Pescara and "around" :-)

IF...I had time !!!!

IF I had time i would be spending my days "taking my time".
I would cross this town on shiny days and look what's up around this wonderful town, i could probably lay down on some stretch of green and read a book, listening to music or just look through my camera instead.
I could, should, would make so many other things but i'm rushing all the time instead these days, my million Mortgage documents to find, furniture to choose, heavy working hours and all those things i have left suspended in my life and need to be finished.
English (luckily internal to company) course, swimming course, guitar course bla bla...am i really used to be so (un)efficient?
And what about this blog left "unspoken" a whole month?
FITTER, HAPPIER, MORE PRODUCTIVE...A PIG IN A CAGE !!!! :-)

Picking Up From Youtube : Johnny Palomba

Back Home !!!

Flying back home...is an endless sunset (from my dirty window :-)!!!

Diario di bordo (4-7 and 11-15 January '08) : Phuket

Photos should be following.
Cheers

Going to East : Thailand on my own

I'm leaving to east, first time to the very east , with nothing set yet !!!
Leaving with a small trolley and a handbag (they say you'd better leave empty to Thailand), a new Camera, a free ticket to Phuket ( mille miglia Alitalia I love you very much), some good books and a Rough Guide.
I am not sure i'm going to be back with everything mentioned above, (who knows me can imagine why :-) I hope i'll be back with much to say.
It will be a long trip to get Destination, the best i could get with 77 Euro of taxes : Rome --> Amsterdam --> GuangZhou (China)--> Phuket.
I'll have time to read and get informed while travelling, i'll decide my trip map "ongoing"...as a special person told me :"occhi aperti e anima leggera".
I'll keep you updated whenever possible, i'll surely send you sms if allowed.
With much love and my best wishes for 2008.
