Never Be The Same Again !!!

I woke up early today, went to run 9 km, listened shuffle music while running, i happened to "run" a song i haven't been listening for ages : Melanie C - Never Be the Same Again.
...and i remembered...7 years ago, Erasmus time in Denmark, i used to listen this song EVERYDAY and i used to love its video.
Not really my kind of music but lovely anyway, i feel now like sharing it with you!!!

Vacation in Pescara :-) ...now back to work :-(

Una settimana a casa durante il ferragosto significa :
sole, mare, corse sulla spiaggia, bagni al tramonto, cene in riva al mare e serate danzanti fino a tardi...insomma SONO DISTRUTTO !!! :-)
Come si dice...una settimana di sano stress liberatorio e poi Tommaso (che mia sorella and Family in gita a Londra hanno deciso di lasciare a casa) un ulteriore piacevolissimo stress.
Ieri sera nanna alle 22 (record per l'anno 2007)e la solita sveglia-metabolismo-enzino che suona verso le 5 del mattino...che si fa ?
Running, running,running...finche' il ferro' e' caldo...vediamo quest'inverno !!!(???)
Poi l'ufficio, Roma e' vuota, le strade libere, i parcheggi immediati, un silenzio preoccupante e Pedro (il collega intenditore) che mi propina della ottima musica jazz/klezmer/lounge...che e' sparsa sulla mia scrivania e si lascia fotografare cosi' :

Running

Non avrei mai creduto di potermi appassionare alla corsa, da sempre nemica dei miei allenamenti piu' duri.
Poi gli amici ti portano a correre, la fatica che si fa sentire, la soddisfazione di essere arrivati alla fine, la natura intorno, la voglia di buttarsi dietro i momenti bui e correrci un po' sopra, essere in posti nuovi e conoscerli correndo.
E poi la musica (forse non da "purista" come chi corre solo con i rumori della natura circostante) che ti da' una carica in piu'... e questo "maledetto" :-) Ipod che registra le tue corse e i tuoi progressi.
Il mio amico More' mi sfida per i prossimi 20 giorni (chi fara' piu' km? ) la sfida e' raccolta...(vedere sidebar sulla destra) e mo' beccati sti 10 km per iniziare !!!! :-)

Everything Is Illuminated (Ogni Cosa e' Illuminata)

What i mostly like about watching movies, is when you happen to see a rather unknown movie and out of nowhere it ends up to be a Great one.
At least to me...!!!
It has been some time since i saw this film at first, a friend of mine suggested it, i watched it , i loved it.
Despite a set of unknown actors (except Elijah Wood "Lord of the rings") and a beginner Director (Liev Schreiber), the film is well acted , well directed.
Funny and dramatic together, Everyting is illuminated ("by the light of the past"), is about a young Jew writer, Jonathan Safran Foer, who journeys to Ukraine in search of the woman who saved his grandfather's life during the second world war.
He will be driven in his journey by a very funny Ukrainian-native translator, Alex (Eugene Hutz) whose gorgeous broken English is the best part of the movie, and by Alex grandfather , a rude blind-simulating old man.
The whole film, adapted from the homonym novel by J.S.Foer, is about memory and a precious need to remember.
Quoting wikipedia "The novel takes its title from a quote in Milan Kundera's novel The Unbearable Lightness of Being: "In the sunset of dissolution, everything is illuminated by the aura of nostalgia, even the guillotine." The passage refers to the philosophical idea that the greatest tragedies in life can only be experienced to their fullest if we are able to relive them."
Suggestion for my Italian mates : watch it in English.
